Head the plant & machinery department — fleet availability, maintenance and cost control.
Job responsibilities
- Plan deployment of equipment across project sites
- Run preventive and breakdown maintenance programmes
- Control diesel consumption, spares and repair costs
- Evaluate hiring / purchase of equipment
- Ensure safety and statutory compliance of machinery
- Lead mechanical engineers, supervisors, operators and mechanics
Required technical skills
Qualification & experience
- Required qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Required work experience
- 10+ years in plant & machinery management on highway projects
